So here we go my top 13 films of 2010, it was a pretty awesome year so it was a long drawn out fight for the top spots. There were also a ton of movies I didn’t get to see that I wanted to, so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

There were a couple movies I didn’t see until after calendar year 2010 that would have made my list: Blue Valentine, Rabbit Hole and Winter’s Bone. We share a lot of similarities in our lists. Worst movie that I saw was Legion.

I didn’t see The American, Animal Kingdom or Never Let Me Go. I really wasn’t that impressed with Winter’s Bone, it is a good movie just not my thing.

The American is not for everyone, it is a slooooow movie. You have to enjoy that kind of slow burn and the nuanced performances by the cast. Animal Kingdom is great, Jackie Weaver is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in that movie, I highly recommend you check it out. Never Let Me Go is a love story with a great little sci-fi twist. It’s beautiful and heartfelt but also long and pretty slow so view at your own discretion.

My honorable mentions are: True Grit, 127 Hours, and Shutter Island. I really want to see Restrepo. While on the topic of documentaries did you see Exit Through The Gift Shop? It’s on Netflix Watch Instant. Great, great film. Everyone I know that saw it loved it.
