Top Films of 2008

Posted: February 18, 2009 in Life

So it is pretty late but here it is finally. My top thirteen films of 2008.  I saw over 75 movies last year (man that is a lot of time) and while it was a good year I don’t think it was as great as last year. So here they are.

WALL-E

The Dark Knight

Gran Tarino

Man On Wire

Slumdog Millionare

Son of Rambow

Bigger-Stronger-Faster

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

In Bruges

Frost/Nixon

Burn after reading

The Wrestler

Doubt

U2 3D (While this is a spectacular film I can’t include it in my list since if you did not see it you will not be able to since I was only in IMax theaters)

Honorable Mention :

The Bank Job, Iron Man, CJ7, Kung Fu Panda, Redbelt, Ghost Town, Milk, American Teen, The Visitor, Happy Go Lucky, Waltz With Basher, RocknRolla, The Reader,

Tropic Thunder, Revolutionary Road

Worst Film of 2008:

Australia

Movies I have not seen but want to:

Kicking It, Secrecy,  Stranded: I Have Come from a Plane That Crashed on the Mountains, Synecdoche New York, The Baader Meinhof Complex, Valkyrie, The Spirit

All of these are based off of recommendations.

Feel free to let me know if I left your favorite off the list or have any movies you think I should see.
